Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page.

I'm expecitng a busy week ahead so I thought I'd post this a little early. I got a bunch of hopefully great reads in the mail this week, all from PBS:
  • A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin
  • Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler
  • Brigid of Kildare by Heather Terrell
  • Daughter of Fortune by Isabel Allende
  • Empire Falls by Richard Russo
  • Frommer's England 2009 by Porter & Prince
  • Fingersmith by Sarah Waters
  • Lady's Maid by Margaret Forster
  • The Hours by Michael Cunningham
  • Possession by A.S. Byatt

I have been reading I, Elizabeth by Rosalind Miles for over a week now! I like it but its just taking me awhile to get through. I plan on finishing it up this week. I will also be reviewing Galway Bay by Mary Pat Kelly over at Royal Reviews on wednesday. Hope everyone has a wonderful week of reading.

  1. wow, lots of books! The Hours is a great book. I've heard many great things about Sarah Waters and Isabel Allende. Enjoy!

  2. I really liked Empire Falls and I've had Galway Bay on my shelf for a year - thanks for the reminder. Have a great week!

  3. Daughter of Fortune and the Hours are both excellent books.

Two books for me this week. Pussreboots.

  4. So many great covers!! Loved The Hours and Daughter of Fortune...I need to get back to my George RR Martin books...loved them!

  5. I enjoyed Daughter of Fortune. I hope you do, too. Happy reading!

  6. I, Elizabeth is my 2nd favorite book on Elizabeth I...the first is Legacy by Susan Kay.

    Have fun receiving your packages!!!

    My mailbox is HERE.

  7. Wow you got some really great ones in there. Fingersmith has had rave reviews. Have a great week, happy reading and enjoy all your new books!

  8. A lot of great books in there! I've been wanting to read one of Isabel Allende's books ever since I heard an interview of her. Enjoy!

  9. Oh my these all look so delicious! I am green with envy. Possession is good, and the movie version is good as well. Hope you enjoy your new books! My mailbox is at The Crowded Leaf.

  10. What a wonderful selection! Possession and Empire Falls are fantastic, and the Allende book is good (though I still prefer Eva Luna and The House of the Spirits to all her other books). The Hours is great too. Enjoy!
