What are you accepting?
I mainly read historical fiction. Although I delve into other genres (literary, fantasy, classics, history, memoirs and YA) my tastes in those genres is specific while my taste in historical fiction is rather broad. Right now I am only accepting review requests for Historical Fiction.
What formats are you accepting?
I have not yet gone over to the dark side (the e-reader format) and I don't like reading on my laptop so I cannot accept e-books at this time. I will accept hard copies only (Galleys/ARCs/finished copies).
Does my sending a book guarantee you will review it?
I cannot offer a 100% guarantee your book will get reviewed BUT if I accept a review, then barring circumstances outside of my control (my house burns down, I contract the plague etc) I will review it if you send it. I generally finish every book I start. Of course I will have to limit the number of reviews I take in so I can review all the ones I accept.
Does my sending a book guarantee I will get a good review?
I have to be honest with my readers so what you will get are my genuine thoughts on your book. Sometimes I will love a book to pieces and rave about it. Other times, not so much and I'll have to say why. My reviews generally follow this format: Brief synopsis of the book, what I liked, what if anything I didn't like and whether I would recommend it or consider reading anything else by the author. I also disclose at the bottom of my reviews where I got the book so I don't get in trouble with the FTC.
Do you do other forms of promotion like interviews, giveaways, guest posts?
I will be happy to host a giveaway on this blog and occasionally a guest post. Right now due to time constraints (I am a 9-5er with a 6 year old) I don't do author interviews.
Where will the review of my book be posted?
Most of the time the reviews will be posted here at Bippity Boppity Book and cross posted on Amazon. I also review for Royal Reviews so on some occasions if your book fits the theme we are doing on the week the review is ready to post I will post it over there. Whether it is posted here or there, I will send whoever contacted me for the review a link via email.
