2013 Mount TBR Reading Challenge

I am all about reading challenges which focus on reading books I've owned forever and still haven't got to.  That is why I am participating in the 2013 Mount TBR Reading Challenge hosted by Bev @ My Reader's Block.

This challenge asks you to commit to reading a certain level of books that are on your shelf prior to the start of the year.  The challenge levels are:

Pike's Peak: Read 12 books from your TBR pile/s
Mount Blanc: Read 24 books from your TBR pile/s
Mt. Vancouver: Read 36 books from your TBR pile/s
Mt. Ararat: Read 48 books from your TBR piles/s
Mt. Kilimanjaro: Read 60 books from your TBR pile/s
El Toro: Read 75 books from your TBR pile/s
Mt. Everest: Read 100 books from your TBR pile/s

Mount Olympus (Mars): Read 150+ books from your TBR pile/s

My Challenge level is going to be: Mt. Kilimanjaro

That's 60 books I'm hoping to move off the old TBR.  Since I will be done with college at the end of March and I normally read around 100 a year its possible I can do this one.  I will be tracking all books read for this challenge here and I'll probably be doing a monthly challenge progress report.  Here's hoping I am standing at the top of Kilimanjaro by the end of 2013!

  1. Good luck with this challenge, Holly. I participated last year and choose the 50 book level. I failed miserably. Of the 84 books I've read so far this year, only 26 have been from my pre-2012 TBR pile. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get my TBR pile under control :-) Maybe I should consider joining this one again, but this time I'll aim for a lower level.
