So, I had planned on having the reviews for The Second Empress, The Ruins of Lace and The Aviator's Wife up recently. I have read all three and just have not had time to sit down and write the reviews for them. I think this is the busiest I have ever been!
I work 30 hours a week, I'm in college full time and currently in the middle of two classes at the moment which require
A LOT of writing, and my weekends have been devoted to doing adoptions at our local Petco with Heaven Can Wait animal rescue. I'm there every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4-cleaning cages, adopting out kitties, whatever needs to be done. I've also taken on the job of designing them a website because the format Petfinder has for a home page is just sad and I've taken over updating their Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet pages which have totally been paying off since we adopted out 17 cats last weekend which is
AMAZING compared to what we usually do. In addition to the weekend gig I am currently fostering 3 cats in my home until they are adopted out. This is on top of my three fur kids I have so that's six cats in the household right now and I am scooping poo like nobodies business. So where does this leave Bippity Boppity Book? Woefully neglected at the moment unfortunately.
Fortunately my two classes end February 14th and for the next six weeks after that I'll be enrolled in only one class instead of two (my last one before I graduate!!!). That should free up some time to get back to reading because I am totally missing having time for it. All those reviews that were scheduled for this month will be coming in February. I am sorry for the delay but I need time to play catch up. I really feel wretched every time life gets in the way of things I have scheduled here but life will settle back down eventually and I'll be back to posting here regularly. And now to make up for my non-existence on this blog here are some gratuitous pics of my foster kitties. Enjoy!

But you are doing such good stuff that it does not matter!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, you are busy! I hope things calm down for you soon. Don't worry about falling behind on your blogging, we will be here when you catch your breath :) Keep up the good work and take care!
ReplyDeleteAww, your foster kitties are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour kitties need you, and those other orphans need you, so those reviews can wait. Don't stress, and I thank you for your volunteer work, what a great giver you are. Congrats!
