High Summer Read-a-Thon!

It's here!  The High Summer Read-a-Thon hosted by Michelle @ The True Book Addict starts July 16th and ends the 22nd.  I have participated before and unfortunately didn't get all that much reading done.  This time I'm doing it the smart way.  I got all my procrastinating done this previous week and now I am ready to spend this week reading until my eyeballs fall out!

The sign ups and all other posts for this read-a-thon will be on Michelle's dedicated blog for read-a-thons Seasons of Reading.

My tentative reading list for the week:

READING:
Emily Hudson by Melissa Jones
Quarantine by John Smolens
Wilderness by Lance Weller

STARTING:
Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati

Good luck to all the other participants!

PROGRESS FOR DAY ONE:
Finished The Black Isle by Sandi Tan which I planned to have done before the read-a-thon started but that didn't happen.
Total # of pgs read: 205
Next up: Emily Hudson

PROGRESS FOR DAY TWO:
Read 200 pages in Emily Hudson.  I have 160 pages to go so I will most likely be finishing this one tonight and possibly starting Quarantine by John Smolens.

PROGRESS FOR DAY THREE: Ended up reading a whopping 5 pages.  Pathetic, I know.

PROGRESS FOR DAY FOUR: Finished Emily Hudson by Melissa Jones.  160 pages read.

PROGRESS FOR DAY FIVE:  Ended up not reading because I went to the beach!  I know, the beach is the perfect place to read but I went with my friend (since preschool!) her little girl and my urchin.  It was more catching up time and chasing the kids around than reading time.

PROGRESS FOR DAY SIX: Updated upcoming books page, wrote 2 reviews, and am starting The Pleasures of Men by Kate Williams which was not on my original list but is next up for my review schedule.

PROGRESS FOR DAY SEVEN:

  1. Hi Holly, thanks for stopping by at my blog. I'm on my last 100 pages of The Chaperone and so far, it really is a wonderful story. And it reads quickly too, so good choice for a read-a-thon:)
I'll be curious to see what you think of Into the Wilderness. it's generally loved but when I started to read it, I just couldn't get into this book. I set it aside for another time.
