Library Loot

 Library Loot is a meme for sharing your latest scores from the library and is hosted by Marg @ The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader and Claire @ The Captive Reader.

I've been seeing posts for Library Loot pop up for awhile now and I've always wanted to participate because my county and the two neighboring counties have amazing libraries that I make use of frequently. 

Plus I'm nosy and I like seeing what everyone else is doing .

So, the first two books I grabbed are graphic novels which I don't read.   Why do I have them then?  Because I belong to a group called Historical Fictionistas on Goodreads and they have reading challenges all the time.  One of the categories this go round is "Read 2 graphic novels in honor of The Avengers movie."  The library nearest to me has a very limited selection of graphic novels and these looked like something I could get through rather easily and then pass on to my 7 yr old to read before they went back.

 Amulet: The Stonekeeper (Bk 1) and Amulet: The Cloud Searchers (Bk 3) by Kazu Kibuishi.

I also grabbed:

The Butterfly Cabinet by Bernie McGill

 and

A Land More Kind than Home by Wiley Cash

One of these has gotten great reviews on Goodreads and the other...not so much.  I have high hopes for both of them and would love to hear from anyone that has read either of these.
