2011 Books To Be Read Challenge

Because I am hosting my own Historical Fiction challenge and because I have already committed to the 2011 Historical Fiction Challenge on PBS, I am trying to be selective about challenges I sign up for in 2011. The 2011 Books to be Read Challenge hosted by Adam @ Roof Beam Reader sounds like fun and is not something I'm going to feel overwhelmed with so I have decided to give it a go.

The basic idea is to read 12 books from the ol' TBR that have been languishing there for at least a year. Well, I have plenty that fit that category. Here are the 12 chosen ones and 2 alternates I am going to aim for:

  1. Interesting list! I've wanted to read Suite Francaise (I hear great things) for a long time - I have the book in storage, but that's 2,000 miles away. :( I also think Agincourt looks really good. Thanks for taking the challenge with me!

  2. Now that's a challenge that might tempt (and challenge me), as the oldest TBR books are the most forgotten. Back soon.

  3. I really disliked "The Secret History of the Pink Carnation" but I hope you find more enjoyment out of it than I did.

I have "Agincourt" sitting on my shelf too.

  4. I loved Agincourt and can't wait to read your thoughts on it once you are done.

  5. Just checking-in on your progress for the 2011 TBR Pile Challenge - you're doing well. I just finished my 5th, so I'm one behind.

Also... BIG Giveaways are happening next week, and TBR Pile Challenge participants earn extra entries for linking to their lists, so be sure to visit my Giveaways section soon. ;)
