Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page.
I didn't participate last week because our internet was down here at ye olde homestead. Surprisingly I didn't get that many new books over the past two weeks. I even resisted the urge to buy anything new for myself at B&N this weekend. I bought Miss Nelson is Missing and Miss Nelson is Back by Harry Allard and James Marshall for my son (who promptly threw them down on the couch with a "but I didn't want any BOOKS mom.") Here is what I did get though:
From PBS:

  • Lady of the Roses by Sandra Worth
  • The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson
  • The Perfect Royal Mistress by Diane Haeger

And that's it for me :)

  1. I admire your restraint at B and N this week, lol...I had not see Lady of the Roses before, I want to check that out.
Please stop by if you have a chance,

  2. Your son is too funny - it sounds like you should have bought books for yourself instead! LOL The books you got look good.

  3. Kids? What are ya' gonna do? Enjoy the books you did get for you.

  4. Ha, my son would have done the same thing (at that age)! Enjoy your books!

  5. Out of the mouths of babes! How funny!

I really enjoyed Lady of the Roses and hope you do too!

    Enjoy your new reads!

    HERE is my Mailbox Monday.

  6. Nice books. I really want to read the Larssen series. My mailbox is at The Crowded Leaf.

  7. They all look good...I always get a little nuts when my Internet is down (or the computer is broken!).

Hope you enjoy them (and your computer service).

    Here's my MM:

  8. I loved Stieg Larsson's trilogy. Happy reading!

  9. Such great willpower! My kids always wanted the new books they just weren't great about reading them. Enjoy all your new reads!

  10. hahah. aww, your son is so cute!!!

great books this week. i have the first larsson book on my shelf, but i haven't gotten around to reading it yet. i'm debating whether or not i should try to get all three before starting it or just starting it now.

    hope you enjoy your books!
