I started blogging in November because my dad passed away in October and I needed some sort of outlet to deal with that. The writing bug bit me about that time and I wasn't ready to start in on writing the next great American novel yet so I decided to blog. Books were the obvious choice as my love for them knows no bounds. I mainly read historical fiction but also history, biographies, classics, fantasy and contemporary. I love discovering great reads and sharing them with others. Speaking of discovering, I guess I better get hopping. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Holly, I'm sorry about the loss of your Dad. My father passed away three years ago, and I still miss him. He was a great supporter of my writing. I stopped by on the book blog hop-I'm already a follower. I hope you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHello, found you at the hop. Just stopped by for a look see.
ReplyDeleteHolly, sorry to hear about your Dad. Mine has been gone for almost 20 years now and while it doesn't hurt any less, I don't tend to dwell on him being gone but rather try to remember so many of the things he shared with us while growing up.
I think the hop is a marvelous way to meet bloggers both old and new. I am now following you.
I have a contest going on at http://lisaslovesbooksofcourse.blogspot.com/2010/06/first-contest-100-followers-birthday.html Hope you will stop by.

Hi! I discovered your blog through the Hop --- very pretty! :) Looking forward to seeing your future posts.
ReplyDeleteHi, I found your blog through the hop- the pictures on the background are lovely. I love historical fiction too but only read teen/ya hf (aimed at my age)as some of the adult books are a bit inappropriate. Maybe you could reccommend some good clean hf books for me as I've run out of ya ones now!
ReplyDeleteI'm now a follower :)
Have a great weekend!
