Suddenly Sunday

This week, Suddenly Sunday is right! This one kind of snuck up on me. Suddenly Sunday is hosted by Muse in the Fog.

This week has been a busy one for me. I posted reviews for Nicolae (3rd book in the Left Behind series) by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, The Plantagenet Prelude (Bk 1 in the Plantagenet Saga) by Jean Plaidy and Archenemy (final book in the Looking Glass Wars Trilogy) by Frank Beddor.

I finished The Captive of Kensington Palace (Queen Victoria Bk 1) by Jean Plaidy this morning and am planning on finishing The Queen and Lord M (Queen Victoria Bk 2) by Jean Plaidy sometime this afternoon so reviews for this will be coming shortly.

I also updated all my challenges this week but I've finished a few more and have to update again. Here is where I'm at so far:

Jean Plaidy 2010 challenge: after today it will be 3 books finished which puts me in the "Ms. Carr" category so far.

100+ Reading Challenge: Currently 16/100, will be 18/100 after today

2010 Historical Fiction Reading Challenge: currently 5/20, will be 7/20 after today.

Tudor Book Challenge: 0/11-I really need to get going on this one...

Books of the Century Challenge: 2/5

I am also still doing the Serial Readers II Challenge on the PBS Games Forum. Part of the points are awarded for reading and posting as many books as possible to cut that towering TBR pile down to size. Any books acquired count against me. I have managed to show remarkable restraint and have not bought 1 book since the challenge started two weeks ago. Unfortunately my wishlist over at PBS has been going crazy and I have had numerous books posted to me this week. The one time I don't want wish listed books and look what happens. Its not like I'm going to refuse them when I've waited so long for them to pop up... I fear I may never catch up at this point but its fun anyway.

Lastly, I came up with an idea for a week long series of posts to do (not telling yet..) and I think I'm going to tie it in to my first giveaway but it will require me to do some research. Hopefully I'll have a handle on everything and be able to launch it this saturday so be on the lookout for that :)

Thats all for me. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Sunday!

  2. Which one? She can be hit or miss. Some of her books are excellent and some can be pretty dry. I really liked her Queens of England series.
